The Seabird Resort is part of the Destination by Hyatt collection of hotels. The Seabird Resort features a variety of enriching experiences for the whole family. Embracing Oceanside’s deep-rooted surf culture, our surf program offers a surf valet experience and lessons, including a private surfing session with North County Surf Academy and an opportunity to surf alongside professional surfer and third-generation Oceanside resident, Duran Barr. “Farm-to-Table Tours” immerse guests in Oceanside’s burgeoning agritourism scene with a one-of-a-kind paddock-to plate experience. Families can also enjoy the “Little Seabirds” program, a series of interactive, ocean inspired activities for children such as sandcastle building, kite flying, treasure hunts, arts and crafts, and more. Finally, art-lovers can revel in OMA West, a rotating art gallery at The Seabird Resort that serves as an extension of Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA).

Piper creates the feeling of coming to someone’s home that is warm and welcoming. Open for breakfast and dinner with San Diego’s best brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

The Shore Room

The Shore Room is a buzzy ocean-view bar focusing on daring mixology and delicious bites serving as a premier spot to catch the best California sunset. A classic and historic cocktail lounge with hand-crafted cocktails, a seaside fare and engaging bartenders. As an extension of Oceanside’s central living room concept in The Seabird Resort lobby, The Shore Room boasts an unparalleled view of the iconic Oceanside Pier, making the warm, convivial space the preferred destination for a lounge environment perfect for enjoying acoustic and piano melodies in an intimate and accessible space.

The Shelter Club

A throwback to when the Rockefellers and the Vanderbilts had private gaming lounges in their own homes, this poolside clubby restaurant and lounge is where guests can gather and connect. After a dip in the pool, enjoy refreshing drinks and flavorful snacks at this poolside communal cabana catering exclusively to hotel guests.

The hotel’s proximity to nearby area attractions makes this family friendly coastal respite the ideal getaway. As the gateway to San Diego, and in the heart of the Oceanside Cultural District, our boutique resort is the perfect home base to take a day trip to San Diego or Los Angeles to enjoy theme parks, nature spots, and historic sites, and more. Traveling north on Interstate 5, Oceanside is the last city before Orange County. It is approximately equidistant from Anaheim as it is to downtown San Diego.

Health and Safety

The security and safety of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to us.

• On-site security staff 24 hours per day.
• The hotel utilizes CCTV surveillance systems.
• All hotel staff receive training in actions to be taken in the event of fire and other emergencies and key staff receive First Aid and CPR training.
• Smoke Detectors in Guest Rooms & Public Areas
• Fire alarm system has a PA (public address) functionality to enable emergency announcements. Fire alarm system is tested on a regular basis.
• For Guest Room security, all Guest Rooms have Deadbolt Locks, Wishbone Latches, Door Closure Mechanisms and View Ports.
