Celebrate America's 250th Birthday Above the Pacific

Spend Independence Day by the ocean as Oceanside celebrates the 250th anniversary of American independence with one of the coast’s most beloved holiday traditions.

Presented in partnership with Show Boss Productions, the festivities begin at 4:00 PM with a ceremonial Presentation of the Colors, followed by the San Diego Salute Formation Flyover above the Oceanside Pier. Featuring vintage Beechcraft T-34 military trainer aircraft, the historic flyover honors the service, sacrifice, and spirit that have shaped the nation over the last 250 years.

Across The Seabird and Mission Pacific, the holiday comes alive with oceanfront dining, poolside celebrations, and festive gatherings. For the ultimate viewing experience, The Rooftop Bar offers DJs, cocktails, and front-row views of the flyover above the Pacific.

Reserve your table at The Rooftop Bar for guaranteed seating and the best views in town. Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly encouraged. Arrive early to see the Presentation of the Colors.

Where Else can I Watch the Flyover?

From ocean-view lounges to rooftop patios, there are plenty of ways to take in the celebration across The Seabird and Mission Pacific.

At The Shore Room, settle into comfortable lounge seating with craft cocktails, coastal fare, and views of the holiday festivities unfolding along the coast. For an elevated experience, a limited number of private firepits are available to reserve.

At The Shelter Club, registered resort guests can enjoy a poolside perspective with food, drinks, sunshine, and views of the afternoon’s celebration.

Looking across the street? Valle opens its ocean-view patio at 2:00 PM with a special beverage menu before dinner service begins at 3:00 PM, while The Café at Mission Pacific will be serving coffee, pastries, and light fare throughout the day.
