Thanksgiving by the Coast

Good food, good company and a long weekend by the sea

Spend Thanksgiving weekend at The Seabird with plenty of ways to gather, dine and enjoy the coast. Celebrate with a seasonal Thanksgiving dish at Piper, or stop by The Shore Room for Friendsgiving and a Turkey Trot morning with pastries, light bites and cocktails.

The weekend continues Saturday, November 28, with a Wild Wonders wildlife showcase at The Seabird, bringing a little extra adventure to the holiday for the whole family.

Holidays Around Oceanside

The celebration extends beyond the resort

Oceanside comes alive for the holidays with festive traditions and family-friendly events throughout the city. Head downtown for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Holiday Sunset Market, see decorated boats light up the harbor during the Parade of Lights, and discover seasonal performances, local events and more throughout December.

With The Seabird in the heart of Oceanside, it’s easy to make the city’s holiday traditions part of your stay.

Christmas by the Sea

New traditions, with a little more sunshine

Celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at The Seabird with festive dining, family time and plenty of ways to enjoy the coast. Gather for a holiday meal at Piper or The Shore Room, then make a splash at The Shelter Club with Cocoa, Cookies & Christmas Eve Swim, Christmas Day at the Club, and a Boxing Day filled with swimming and games.

Throughout December, Saturday movie nights at The Shelter Club will also bring holiday favorites poolside for cozy evenings under the stars.

31 Days of the Chalet

Holiday season, rooftop style

Just next door at Mission Pacific Beach Resort, The Rooftop Bar transforms for 31 Days of the Chalet, bringing a festive new setting to evenings above the Pacific throughout December.

Stop by for Christmas at the Chalet on December 24 and 25, followed by Boxing Day sunset sips, with more seasonal experiences unfolding throughout the month. It’s an easy way to add a little après-inspired holiday spirit to your time by the coast.

One last sunset. Plenty of ways to celebrate.

Close out the year by the Pacific with New Year’s Eve celebrations across The Seabird and Mission Pacific. Families can count down early at The Shelter Club’s First Countdown: Midnight in New York, with a 9 p.m. finale, while The Shore Room celebrates with sunset, cocktails and a special champagne sabering.

Keep the night going with New Year’s Eve at Piper, or head next door for The Last Sunset + Chalet Chic at The Rooftop Bar.
